This meat and potatoes town has been begging for lighter fare, and the calls were answered with Pacific Standard Time (PST). Lively, tasty, and trendy, PST is the place to be! Also a current favorite of Bobby Gonzalez, chef concierge at the Kimpton Gray Hotel, he says the atmosphere and California-inspired cuisine are simply spectacular.

Aba is still a mystery to most having came onto the scene without much fanfare, but has quickly become a prominent Mediterranean option with a beautiful, clean space indoors and some of the most enviable alfresco tables in town. Emily Mayer, concierge at Viceroy Chicago, agrees saying that Aba is sure to be the reigning king for a while to come.

Mathew Chapman, Concierge, JW Marriott Chicago

Gibsons Italia is a must do. “The Gibsons Restaurant Group hasn’t opened a restaurant in the city for a decade, and their eponymous steakhouse remains the city’s top- grossing independent restaurant,” he says. “As a result, I think diners have been very excited to see how Gibsons would up the ante and boy have they! The view might be the best in the city right now.”

Kyle Francsis, Concierge, Ritz Carlton Chicago

Chicago’s grand dame of Italian fine dining, Spiaggia is a beloved restaurant that has been a bucket list foodie destination for both locals and visitors alike for decades (and for good reason). Coupled with Executive Chef Joe Flamm’s recent Top Chef victory, this memorable mainstay continues to offer an unparalleled dining experience.
