Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Lights

What began in 1942 with a single tree, has since turned into a tradition for thousands of locals and visitors alike. The Museum of Science and Industry’s beloved celebration features a four-story floor to dome Grand Tree! It’s surrounded by a forest of more than 50 trees and displays decorated by volunteers. Guests can see each tree decorated to represent the holiday traditions from cultures around the globe!

Macy’s on State Street Holiday Windows

Don’t miss this annual tradition fun for the whole family! With a different theme each year, Macy’s windows tell a story of the holiday season that combine old-school artistry with amazing visual elements. Peruse the windows and then head on over to Caroling at Cloud Gate for a truly magical holiday evening.

Fifth Third Bank Winter Wonderfest at Navy Pier

The Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier is an annual event that lets you have fun inside, even if the weather is frightful outside! With 170,000 square feet of carnival rides, holiday-theme activities, an indoor skating rink, and tons of other activities this in the biggest and best indoor playground for the whole family.

Christkindlmarket

Every year, the Christkindlmarket Chicago transforms the Loop into an old-school German market. This large, open-air festival, is set up like a holiday village where guests can enjoy food, drinks, and shopping! Make sure you check out the elaborate ornament houses and pick up a new ornament for your tree. Don’t forget to get your commemorative mug of Glühwein. And check out the artisan booths that feature lots of unique gifts!
